Kexin is a multidisciplinary designer and artist who is interested in storytelling via physical and graphical means. She has a Bachelor’s of Interior Design from Toronto Metropolitan University, and is currently working on a Master’s of Arts in Graphic Design from Arts University Bournemouth.

Store Designer @ MTY Group
- Worked with several QSR brands (Thai Express, Mucho Burrito, Mr Sub, Manchu WOK, etc) within Canada to space
- plan and create construction drawings for new stores and renovations
- Participated in value engineering and re-designing of some brands
- Served as the BIM Manager in transiting designers from AutoCAD to Revit. Produced drawing templates and families,
as well as taught designers how to use Revit.

Intermediate Designer @ Mi Concept & Design
- Designed and created construction drawings for themed parks in Revit
- Explored conceptual designs for exhibition booths in SketchUp

Intermediate Designer @ mackaywong
- Led the design of two F&B roll-out within a casino renovation, ensuring brand guidelines were followed
- Led the design starting from concept design, space planning, to construction administration for a spa renovation
- As part of the team lead, delegated junior designers to various tasks according to their skillsets and project schedule
- Participated in construction administration during construction phase of projects, as well as weekly consultant & construction meetings

Designer @ Ampersand Studio
- Worked with the Creative Director and the graphic design team to create comprehensive experiences for retail projects
- Designed temporary pop-up experiences for Pret-a-Manger’s trial runs within select A&W stores throughout Canada
- Created construction, millwork, and signage drawing sets, sourced furniture, fixtures, and finishes
- Collaborated with the graphic design team on environmental graphic, wayfinding, and signage placement
Mar 2018 – Aug 2020
Designer @ Archicomplex
- Worked with the firm’s Principal to design a hot spring hotel in China in which I developed concepts for both the architecture and the interior of the building
- Participated and won a design-build competition for Tokyo Midtown Summer 2019 as part of a team that utilized a new type of material. I also oversaw the project execution from start to finish and organized teams for project fabrication.
- Participated and won an exhibition design competition for Hino Motors
for the Tokyo Motor Show 2019 - Created conceptual designs for several adaptive reuse restaurant projects
